Step 1

Be sure the bike’s high and low headlight(s) are working.

Step 2

Be sure the Plug and Play Adapter Harness that you have selected has connectors that match your headlight, and that the Adapter wires are long enough to reach the headlight(s).

Step 3

Unplug your headlight connector(s).

Step 4

Plug the Adapter Harness’ male connector labeled “low” into the low beam connector on your bike's wire harness. If you have a dual headlight bike plug it into the connector on the left side of the bike (as you are sitting on it).

Step 5

Plug one of the Adapter Harness’ female connectors labeled “low” onto your low beam headlight (It doesn't matter which connector). If you have a dual headlight bike, plug both female connectors labeled “low” into both low beam headlights (It does not matter which one).

Step 6

Plug the Adapter Harness’ male connector labeled “high” into the high beam connector on your bikes wire harness. If you have a dual headlight bike plug it into the connector on the left side of the bike (as you are sitting on it).

Step 7

Plug one of the Adapter Harness’ female connectors labeled “high” onto your high beam headlight (It doesn't matter which connector). If you have a dual headlight bike plug both female connectors labeled “high” into both high beam headlights (It does not matter which one).

Step 8

Connect the green wire on the Adapter Harness to the horn wire that connects the horn button on the handlebar to the horn. Use the tap splice connector that came with the headlight module for this splice.

Step 9

Plug the Plug and Play Headlight Module into the 6 pin connector and mount it with the adhesive pad that came with it. Be sure that when the module is mounted it does not interfere with steering, or other controls.

Step 10

Mount the optic sensor (connected to the Plug and Play headlight module) in a downward facing position about two feet above the road surface. Select a location that is shielded from artificial light such as cars and streetlights, and that will protect it from water. The sensor can be mounted by drilling a 5/16” hole and mounting with the supplied nut, or simply zip-tie the optic sensor to an existing hose or wire.
