NOTE: This module is rated at 10 Amps which will only drive 3 - 1156/1157 bulbs. If you have a vehicle with more than three brake lights we recommend only modulating two of these bulbs, it will be plenty attention getting enough and give you redundancy in case of some kind of failure. Please DO NOT install any BackOFF Brake Light product on your turn signals, it is illegal and also confusing to following vehicles.

Create more visibility and conspicuity when you are stopped or stopping when you install the BackOFF-XP™.

  • Compact size. - 2-1/4"L x 1-5/8"W x 5/8"H and can be mounted easily with included double sided tape!

  • Large power capacity: - 12 volts DC, Maximum Capacity 10 Amps!

  • Sealed Weather Resistant heat sink case.

  • Limited Warranty - One Year!

This compact solid state electronic module converts your ordinary brake lights into your choice of two attention getting visual alerting signals when you apply your brakes:

User Selected Mode One:

Emit a visual signal of 4 short light flashes, followed by 1 long light flash (3.5 seconds). The signal automatically repeats itself as long as the brakes are applied. This pattern is not random, but has been selected because of its ability to retain following drivers attention.

User Selected Mode Two:
Emit a visual signal of 5 short flashes, followed by a steady on light that remains steady on as long as the brakes are applied.

This specific mode is now LEGAL. If you live in Tennesee and would like to know more, have a look in your Tennesee Motorcycle Handbook or click here to see! In all other states motorcycle handbooks recommend that you flash your brakes to increase rear end visibility while stopping, which is what our BackOFF control modules do for you while you're stopped or stopping. Now it is not only recommended in Tennessee but legal to have a control module to do it for you!

Optional:
Motorcycle Emergency Flasher or Automobile Back-Up Flasher.

Most states drivers handbooks recommend that you flash your brakes when slowing or stopping. The BackOFF-XP™ automatically facilitates compliance and enhances safety. Install the BackOFF-XP™ and see how much more effective your brake light can be.

Coupled with the headlight modulator, I feel much safer on the road. Cars definitely notice anything that flashes at them, versus a single light that
does not. I'm always weary of relying upon a singular/solid red brake light during the day or at night. Now I know there is a greater chance of
being noticed when the light begins to flash on a cycle, grabbing the attention of those behind me. A bit like brake-checking without having too.
