BackOFF™ Brake Light Module
Product Description
The BackOFF™ Brake Light Module automatically flashes your brake light(s) to capture the attention of following drivers and to make your motorcycle more visible. When installed, the motorcycle's brake light becomes significantly more noticeable because your brake light(s) modulates three short flashes followed by one steady-on pulse for four seconds. This pattern automatically repeats itself as long as the brakes are applied.
Note: This module will not work with LED brake lights. The BackOFF™ XP Brake Light Module with work with both standard incandescent and LED brake lights.
Flash Pattern
When you apply your brakes, it causes your brake light to automatically emit a visual alerting signal of 3 short light flashes, followed by 1 steady on light for 2 seconds. This signal automatically repeats itself as long as the brakes are applied. This pattern is not random, but has been selected because of its ability to gain and retain following driver's attention. Most states drivers handbooks recommend that you flash your brakes when slowing or stopping. The BackOFF™ automatically facilitates compliance and enhances safety. Install the BackOFF™ and see how much more effective your brake light can be.
Installation
To install, wire the BackOFF™ Brake Light Module in-line with your existing brake light wire. Locate your brake light wire and cut the wire into 2 (use a test light or multi-meter to find proper wire). Connect the red wire from the BackOFF™ Brake Light Module to the cut wire end leading toward the front of the motorcycle. Next connect the white wire with the red stripe to the cut wire leading toward the rear of the bike. Finally peel the paper lining off of the double sided adhesive pad and mount the module to a clean, flat surface.

Name says it all

I have this on 2 bikes (2007 Kawasaki Vn2000 and 1997 Kawasaki VN1500D) extremely easy to install. Best of all, keeps people from crowding from behind. Won't have a bike without.

this is the fourth one of these I have purchased for four different bikes
couldn't ask for a better way for those dumb ass car drivers to see us
have used all models and all work great and are easy to install

Would not ride without one. Being Rear-ended accidents are the most threatening aspect of motorcycle riding. I am using the
XP version.

This is my third backoff. I had gotten one for myself about a year ago. Loved it, very easy to install, no worry about someone rear ending me with that flashing light. I've had a few car stop quickly after see the flashing tail light. Both of my sons have vintage Honda( '77' CB750, '77' GL1000). Got one for each of their bikes. It gives a father a little peace of mine. Thanks

I have used this unit on motorcycles, cars and trucks with great success. It has never failed me and never had to be replaced.

The Back-off module does exactly what it's supposed to do ... help protect you from a rear end collision. The five minute installation could not be any easier. I used to have to pump my brakes manually when someone was too close for comfort but now I can focus on stopping and not on watching my butt.
