This dual intensity LED License Plate Frame has been designed to give greater visibility and conspicuity to your motorcycle. It has been engineered to function in both high and low intensity brightness for a multitude of applications. Because many motorcycles have only one brake/running light bulb, these units can easily be used as back-up brake, and running lights, providing you a greater degree of safety and added visibility. Additionally, this model features 3 amber LEDs on both sides of the light bars that function as auxiliary turning signals! Mount and install this beautifully crafted license plate frame and give your bike an excellent finished appearance compared to an otherwise obtrusive license plate.
Details
This frame has a black powder coating and features a 6" dual intensity red LED light bar with 18 LEDs (12 red LEDs and 6 amber LEDs total) and are enclosed by clear 'euro style' lens.
Installation
To install, nest your license plate into your license plate frame, continue by checking to see that the 4 mounting holes all align correctly. The use of a round metal file may be necessary to ensure alignment prior to installation, if adjustment with a file is necessary minimal filing is required. It is recommended during installation not to pinch the wires against the sharp edge of your license plate, as this can cause the wire(s) to shred from vibration causing the LED light bar to lose functionality. Some license plates may need to be 'notched' for the wires to remain undamaged. This LED license plate frame has 5 wires in total. To ensure proper orientation, mount the license plate frame with the light bar on top and follow the wire color code below. If you choose to mount the plate with the LED light bar on the bottom, reverse the wire colors and connect the purple wire to your right turn signal and connect brown to your left turn signal.
